Olho à minha volta e vejo a terra onde pertenço.
Friday, my friends (including Makarand and Chelo) went for icehockey. The basic rules were: NO rules at all. The game started heavily in our disadvantage since our adversaries seemed to have been a bunch of figure skaters in a past life, which was expressed in the way their goals ended up in a pretty fargoing group hug.
Luckily, after switching sides for the second period (20 minutes per period), we managed to work ourselves back into the game, although the methods were questionable of nature: a number of bodychecks were performed to try and capture the momentum of the game. Still, we were not able to take a lead because of our poor field positioning. (basically, everyone was offence, no one was defence)
In the third period we gave our best and pulled out everything we had up our sleeve. Long passes, short double passes, excruciating shots at goal just barely passing the goalkeepers teeth and a catenacchio that would make the squadra azzura really jealous. Charlie helped us a lot, scoring about 90 percent of the goals, but we stranded on a 14-15 defeat…
Makarand is so happy to play, second time in his life he was on the ice…
The winning team…
The reason we lost in graphics!
